Roto 8 started off with a bang!  On the 6th of April 2001, Para Coy assisted in the seizure of the Herzegovacka Bank in downtown Tomislavgrad. 

Shortly after that our main focus was the consolidation of weapons in our area.  All of the weapons caches in our AOR were relocated into two central locations and were placed under lock and key.  It then became Para Coy's mission to guard the weapons until suitable local forces were available to take over the job. 

Being the keen Paratroopers' that we are, we almost had the opportunity to jump in theatre.  But alas, final approval from the top of the chain never materialized.

Overall, it was a good tour in a great camp, but it was great to finish and return to Canada.
